Medium-voltage valve lightning protection, type UHS Valve lightning protection is manufactured according to the most modern metal oxide (MOV) technology and economically provides overvoltage protection for equipment in medium-voltage grids and medium-voltage power stations. The valve lightning protection is a gapless lightning protection consisting of 42mm diameter MOV discs continuously coupled into a column. Cooper valve lightning protection is designed and tested in accordance with the international standard IEC 60099-4 (IEC 99-4). The lightning protection level is suitable for transient overvoltage protection of electrical equipment in systems up to 72kV.
The 12kV valve lightning protection device can be installed indoors or outdoors and is used in medium voltage to 12kV power grids. The 24kV valve lightning protection device can be installed indoors or outdoors and is used on medium voltage to 24kV power grids. The 42kV valve lightning protection device can be installed indoors or outdoors and is used in medium voltage to 42kV power grids.
